gave 2023 LDV Mifa 9 – Australia’s first all-electric people mover and the most expensive Chinese-made vehicle – has arrived.
It comes in the form of a battery-electric version of the recently launched, petrol-powered Mifa, known as the G90 in other markets.
LDV Australia has confirmed pricing for the seven-seat Mifa 9 with the Mercedes-Benz EQV firm.

It is priced at $106,000 before on-road costs, rising to $131,000 plus on-road for the flagship variant.
It’s more than $58,000 more than the range-topping internal combustion LDV Mifa, and the most expensive Chinese-made vehicle on sale in Australia, undercutting the likes of the Volvo XC60 T8 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid and Tesla Model Y by around $30,000. .
First announced in September, Mifa 9 has launched alongside the eDeliver 9 commercial van and Australia’s first electric ute, the eT60 Dual Cab.
An eight-seater version of the Mifa 9 will be available in early 2023.

Powertrains, charging, and driving range
Under the Mifa 9’s body sits a 90kWh battery pack, which, depending on the variant, allows for a claimed driving range of 440km on the tough WLTP cycle.
It has a single electric motor that produces 180kW and 350Nm, with power sent exclusively to the front wheels.
LDV says the Mifa 9 will charge from 30 to 80 percent in about 36 minutes with the 120kW DC fast charger, while the 11kW AC unit will do it in about 8.5 hours.
A regenerative braking system is standard.

Safety
The LDV Mifa 9 is yet to be tested by ANCAP or Euro NCAP. LDV says it hopes it will get a five-star safety rating.
Eight airbags (dual front, side, front side and full-length curtain) are fitted across the range.

Dimensions
The LDV Mifa 9 measures 5270 mm long, 2000 mm wide and 1840 mm tall, with a 3200 mm wheelbase. It’s bigger than the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, but similar in size to the recently discontinued G10 MPV.
It has 466 liters of luggage space with the third row folded, expanding to 1702L with the third row folded or 2017L with the second and third rows folded.
All variants have a braked towing capacity of 1000 kg or an unbraked limit of 750 kg.
Warranty and Servicing
Unlike the latest internal combustion Mifa and T60 Max, which have a seven-year/200,000-km warranty, the Mifa 9, eDeliver 9 and eT60 are covered by a five-year/200,000-km period.
The high-voltage battery pack is covered by an eight-year/200,000 km warranty.
This includes a free five-year roadside assistance program.
Maintenance is required every two years or 30,000 km, whichever is earlier.
LDV is yet to announce the limited price servicing details for the Mifa 9 Electric People Mover.
