The BYD Atto 3 electric crossover is set to get Apple CarPlay smartphone projection capabilities in early 2023, but there’s no word yet on Android Auto.

“Apple CarPlay will be delivered to customers over the air. [OTA] The update will be updated in batches between the months of January and February 2023 and will come as standard with all new BYD Atto 3s from the end of January 2023,” said EVDirect CEO Luke Todd. EFTM.
The local distributor said it is currently in the final stages of testing and regulatory approvals to launch CarPlay for Atto 3 owners who use an Apple iPhone, and will contact customers when they receive their OTA from OTA. Can expect to land on vehicles.

How much is BYD Atto 3?
The BYD Atto 3 was subject to a $3630 price hike this month, which saw it hand the title of Australia’s cheapest electric car to the MG ZS EV.
The Atto 3 starts at $48,011. A fully specified model and two battery sizes offer a claimed WLTP range of 345km and 420km respectively on the standard range and extended range battery before on-road costs and incentives.
