Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has announced the opening of its new showroom in Calicut, Kerala. From a strategic and business perspective, Kerala is an important market for EVs which is witnessing rapid growth in their sales and adoption.
The new showroom will be operated and managed by EVM South Coast. It is located opposite Malabar Institute of Medical Science (MIMS), Calicut, near Mini Bypass Road in Kozhikode. With extensive experience in the automobile industry, EVM South Coast already has a wide reach with its business in the state of Kerala.
BYD India aims to expand its reach to over 53 showrooms by the end of this year.

The state-of-the-art showroom is spread over 3,600 square feet and has well-trained technicians, service equipment and service bays. A customer lounge, and a showroom display floor ensure customers have the best in-store experience.
This showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Thijs Xavier, Director of EVM South Coastand Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President, Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, in the presence of BYD India, EVM South Coast and customers.
