Update: Pollster O2 Concept Design Tour
As part of a tour of the east coast of Australia this week, we were invited to take a closer look at the Polestar O2 concept that will become the Polestar 6 roadster in the coming year – and an Australian launch has been confirmed.

November 8: Polystar 6 will kick off their Australian tour in Melbourne on November 14.
The Polestar continues its rapid expansion following the global release of the 3 SUV, with the 4 and 5 to follow the Halo 6 roadster – previewed by this O2 concept. Expected in 2026.
Punters will be able to preview the future sporty Polestar at Two Ton Max in Melbourne from November 14 to 16, Lightspace in Brisbane from November 22 to 24 and finally Picks on Location in Sydney from November 28 to 30.
The first 500 Polestar 6 LA Concept Editions have already been spoken for.and it is understood that there are some Australian names on the list.
In addition to seeing the stunning 6 Roadster in the flesh, there will be a series of speakers as industry leaders in the sustainability space discuss the ethos of polyester combined with their own experiences in architecture, economics, the environment and more. will

Update September 1st: The first 500 build slots including Australia have been cracked.
The upcoming Polestar 6Only recently confirmed for production, it has already sold out of its first 500 build slots – despite a launch schedule that will see buyers wait almost four years for their cars.
That first sale went to what Polster has dubbed. ‘6 LA Concept Edition’With buyers scattered across select markets including our neighbors in Iceland, UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, China, South Korea and New Zealand.
Polestar’s announcement made no mention of places in those 500 build-up slots for Australia, but the local arm confirmed with Wheel Media that An undisclosed number of those first 500 sales were to Australian customers.
“The high level of interest from our customers shows that a great electric roadster like the Polestar 6 has a lot of value in the sports car field,” said Polestar boss Thomas Ingenlath.
“The open-top plus electric combination is clearly one that appeals to even the most die-hard petrolheads.”
The Polestar 6 will be joined by four new EVs over the next five years, including the new Polyester 3 Electric SUV that will be introduced in October.

The Pollster O2 concept will go into production as the Pollster 6 roadster – confirmed for Australia.

The Polestar 6 roadster is set to become a reality, with the Swedish firm revealing tonight that its O2 concept will debut as a production car from 2026.
Potential buyers in all active Polestar markets, including Australia, can reserve a build slot online from 9pm tonight, parting with around US$25,000 (AU$35,700) to do so, according to the electric vehicle maker.

Only 500 numbered units of the limited-edition ‘LA Concept’ version are initially slated for production, featuring a unique sky blue exterior, light leather interior and unique 21-inch wheels from the original Polestar O2 concept. Cost will be. US$200,000 (AU$285,700).
Further production of a more permanent lineup for the model is expected to be announced at a later date.
A Polestar Australia spokesperson confirmed that there is no specific allocation for our market, but that order books are now open for all markets on a first-come, first-served basis.

Revealed in Los Angeles in March as the Polestar O2, the concept “reveals the brand’s vision for future sports cars”.
Few technical details were previously known about the concept vehicle other than it came with a drone and shared the same dedicated EV platform as the upcoming Polestar 5 – the Precept itself. There is a production version of the concept.
But now we know the hardtop convertible will be produced in-house, featuring the brand’s high-performance 800-volt electric architecture already confirmed for the Polestar 5 – with a power output of up to 650kW and 900Nm. The torque is coming from the dual motor powertrain. .
Polestar believes the combo will enable the Polestar 6 to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h.

Speaking ahead of the brand’s unveiling of the concept vehicle during Monterey Car Week in California this week, Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath said “Polestar 6 combines powerful electric performance and open-air thrills with the top down. Is.”
“With the overwhelming customer and press response, we decided to put this fantastic roadster into production and I’m excited to make it a reality,” added the CEO.

Production will begin in both China and the United States in early 2023, with an Australian launch expected sometime in the second half of next year.
It will join the Polestar 2 sedan which was launched locally in early 2022.
