Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd (SAVWIPL) has announced the launch of its export program with the start of shipments of the Made in India Kshaq LHD (Left Hand Drive). Kshaq is the first locally made Skoda model to be exported from India. The first batch of Kushaq LHD SUVs has been dispatched to the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) countries. Earlier this year, SAVWIPL began exporting 2.0 cars to India with the Volkswagen Taigun SUV, followed by the Volkswagen Virtus sedan in September.

Skoda Octavia: A Quick Summary
The Kshaq is currently priced between Rs 11.29 lakh and Rs 18.79 lakh ex-showroom and is higher than the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Kashaq was recently updated with new features. Newly updated features include a new headliner in the cabin and a tire pressure monitoring system as standard across the range. Now, all 1.0 TSI powered variants will get a start-stop recuperation system as standard. The updated chassis will deliver 7-9% more fuel efficiency. The cabin features a new 20.32 cm Skoda infotainment system with knobs and buttons to enhance ergonomics and ease of use for the driver. As part of this update, a non-sunroof (NSR) style trim has also been introduced. The new variant will be based on the 1.0 TSI styling and will come with a 4-dial medium analogue instrument cluster and will come exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission. While the top-of-the-line style variant with sunroof gets a 20.32 cm Skoda Virtual Cockpit with analog dials for the driver’s instrument console.
