TThe all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV will debut a new flagship variant at this year’s 2022 Paris Motor Show, taking place October 17-23.
Dubbed the Ocean Extreme, the new Halo model is the top of the three-dimensional range, sitting above the Fisker Ocean Ultra and the entry-level Fisker Ocean Sport.

Fisker’s Ocean Extreme will be capable of a WLTP-rated driving range of 630 km, is equipped with dual-motor all-wheel drive, and will reportedly have more than 400kW of power. The mid-spec Ocean Ultra and entry-level Ocean Sport use a single 205kW electric motor at the front axle, providing a WLTP-rated driving range of 547km and 440km respectively.
Headlining features of the new Ocean Extreme include Fisker’s SolarSky panoramic roof – which on its own can generate up to 2400 emissions-free kilometres. There’s also a 17.1-inch rotating center screen with “Hollywood Mode”, a variety of advanced safety and driver features, and a stylish cabin filled with recycled and sustainably sourced materials.

Production of the expected Fisker Ocean is scheduled to begin in November 2023, with first deliveries to the United States, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The remaining “launch markets” of France, the UK and Canada can expect first deliveries from early to mid-2023.
Fisker Oceans are manufactured in Graz, Austria, at Magna Steyr’s carbon-neutral plant – which also produces other EVs such as the Jaguar I-Pace.

Notably absent from Fisker’s nine ‘launch markets’ is Australia, then Can we expect the Ocean SUV locally?
Fisker has previously indicated its intention to bring the Ocean SUV to the Australian market from 2023, with right-hand drive production already in place for the UK market with mid-2023 deliveries.
Addressing. EFTM At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, Fisker’s senior vice president of communications Simon Sproul said the Ocean “will be left- and right-hand drive from the start as we sell in the UK from 2023”.

Given the above timelines, we would expect an Australian arrival in late 2023/early 2024.
