Hero recently launched the Vida V1 electric scooter in India. The V1 scooters will be made available in a phased manner. The scooter is available only in Bengaluru, Delhi and Jaipur and is being offered in other locations soon. Vida’s bookings start today with deliveries expected to begin in the second week of December. Hero also offers customers three long test drives. Vida V1 is available in two variants: V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Let’s take a look at two variations:
V1 Pro
The Vida V1 Plus electric scooter gets a futuristic design with LED illumination and a split seat setup. It packs a 3.44kWh removable battery pack with a claimed range of 143km as per the Indian Diving Cycle. It achieves a top speed of 80 kmph and benefits from a 6kW motor for its high power. The V1 Plus can go from 0-40kmph in 3.4 seconds. The V1 Plus takes 5 hours and 15 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent.
Both Plus and Pro models get features like seven-inch TFT touchscreen with navigation, customizable ride modes with Eco, Ride, and Sport modes, two-way throttle, limp mode, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, etc. Parking assist, SOS emergency alert button and key fob for keyless entry. It is also connected to technology such as scooter diagnostics, document storage, and trip analysis. The Vida V1 Plus comes in three colors – Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black and is priced at Rs 1,45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
V1 Pro
The V1 Pro gets a large 3.94kWh battery, giving it an IDC range of 165km. It gets the same 6kW on peak power motor but the 0-40kmph time for the V1 Pro is 3.2 seconds which is 0.2 seconds faster than the V1 Plus. The top speed of the V1 Pro is also 80kmph like the Plus model. The V1 Pro takes 5 hours 55 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%. The V1 Pro is available in four colors – Matte Abrax Orange, Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black and is priced at Rs 1,59,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Both Vida V1 models come with a standard five-year warranty for 50,000 km.
