HMIL won the title of Inter-School Golf Trophy Champions. – Dubai Car News

The Hyundai National Interschool Golf Trophy, India’s premier junior golf competition, and the Indian Golf Union, the country’s premier golf organization, announced their winners on November 5.

The tournament, affiliated to the International Golf Federation, was designed to promote and support young golfers in India and provide them with a stage on which to showcase their developing talent.

Commenting on the announcement of the winners of the Hyundai National Inter-School Golf Trophy, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India Limited said, “We are delighted to be associated with the Indian Golf Union for Hyundai. Congratulations to the stars of the National Inter-School Golf Trophy and Tournament. Our aim is to develop the skills of as many young golfers as possible to represent India on the world map. Commenting on the announcement of the winner of the tournament, Ms. Aditi Ashok, world-renowned golfer and 2020 Arjuna Award winner said: “I am extremely happy to be associated with Hyundai Motor India for this unique initiative which The objective is to provide an opportunity to school students of different age groups. The group strives to promote golf at the grassroots level in India. This remarkable initiative is aimed at harnessing the young talent across the country and providing them with rich experience in competitive golf. A huge step forward. I am especially excited to personally meet and congratulate the young boys and girls who have been a part of the Hyundai National Inter-School Golf Trophy.

From 21 October to 2 November 2022, 147 schools participated in the event’s qualifying rounds in five major Indian cities: Chandigarh, Pune, Noida/Delhi, Gurgaon, and Bengaluru. A total of 427 junior golfers aged 11, 13, 15 and under 18 were selected from a pool of 10,000 amateur golfers. After the final competition, which was held on November 3 at the KG Prestige Golfshire in Bangalore, the top 8 scorers in each gender division out of 50 finalists received prizes. The winners attended a master class and interactive session with world renowned Indian golfer and 2020 Arjuna awardee Ms. Aditi Ashok. This collaboration has resulted in increased brand connection of Hyundai, making it the most preferred automobile brand in India and a favorite among millennials and general Alfas.
