Christmas is almost upon us, and our friends at Seven82Motors are swinging early with their final classic car auction of the year.
There is literally a shedload of quality gear for their final auction of the year. Bidding is live and opened on November 28, and starts on November 5 at 6pm AEST.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s on offer, and you can search all listings. right here.
1996 HSV vs GTSR
Yes, there is a real big banana in this auction, being #11 of 85 to come out of Clayton in 1996.
The odo indicates 48,000 km, which is reflected in the car’s condition. The original 215kW 5.7-litre stroker is still there, as is the six-speed manual. The dash is also signed by Craig Lowndes, if that tickles your fancy.
1982 HDTV Commodore SS Group 3
Rare Holdens continue with this genuine 1982 HDT VH Group 3, fully restored to factory style.
Matching numbers are the 5.0-litre V8, as is the four-cog M21 manual box. It’s a factory power steering and air con car, and the Irmscher wheels have been fully restored to go with the fresh Maranello Red paintwork. There’s also a true blue mini on the field if that’s more your poison.
1976 Holden Torana LXSS Hatch
The LX hatch is arguably the most desirable form of Torana, and it’s a true SS so expect some bloody hot bidding.
She is undergoing a full nuts and bolts restoration, with 253 thong sleeper beefing and an updated original white paint with A9X flares. If the first Torana coupe is more to your taste, there’s also a genuine LC GTR in the mix.
1967 Ford Falcon XR UT
This XR Falcon ute fits perfectly. Street Machine category, a 383-cube Cleveland stroker built by Jason Mansvito, a C4 auto, a nine-inch diff, and awesome Outlaw Drag Intensity wheels that measure 15×10 in the rear.
Pair that with the custom brass pearl paint that pays tribute to the thorough engineering in the XR GT and NSW, you can’t go wrong.
1974 Ford Falcon XBGT Coupe
If you prefer your V8 Falcons as matching-numbers hero cars, this genuine XB GT coupe is as good as it gets.
It’s said to be one-of-a-kind in this spec, with restored burnt orange paint, a windback sunroof, power windows and air con. And you get the original 351 Cleveland, a C4 ‘box and nine inches of rear.
1981 Ford Fairmont Ghia ESP
There are plenty of special Fords in this auction, but this XD Fairmont Ghia is a particularly rare bird. Not only is it in pristine condition, but it has enough factory fruit to make any Ford idiot go weak in the knees.
It’s an original 351 and manual four-speed car, with a power sunroof, ESP interior, power everything and even the original wheels and tires. The original Hermitage ring has a punch, and it comes with a letter confirming it as one of Fairmont’s specialties.
1970 Holden HT panel van
Everyone loves a shaggy wagon, and this 1970 HT panel van looks bloody smart in its black suit, with 308 grunt rowing through a four-speed manual.
It was fully restored last year, with GTS front guards, air con and subtle candy apple red stripes on the bonnet. Like many on this list it has air con, so it would make a great street braller.
1963 Chevy Bell Air Wagon
Let me tell you, we can’t think of a better summer cruiser than this 1963 Chevy Bel Air Wagon. Being a twin bench seat with a ducky seat in the back, this thing comfortably seats nine – yes, nine! – Guys, this is the perfect pub running machine.
The exterior features a lot of custom gold metallic paint, of course, and this stuff is aired all over the air ride suspension. Power comes from a Blueprint 383 small-block Chevy, fed through a turbo ‘350 box. That’s plenty of poke for a cruiser, and the best part is that it even has air conditioning!
1970 Ford XY Falcon Wagon Limousine
Another custom wagon up for grabs is a 1970 XY Falcon six-door, the only executive limo commissioned by BS Stillwell Ford.
Lovingly restored by the current owner, it is said to be one of a kind. Cool features include 351 V8 power, air conditioning, disc brakes, power steer and 15-inch 12-spoke wheels.
1970 Plymouth Duster
Roadkill fans will swoon over this H-Code 340 1970 Plymouth Duster, which has been completely restored in Vitamin C Orange with a black interior.
She’s still dropping the hook behind a 340 Mopar V8 with a 727 box and rally-style wheels. It’s not often that you come across a Yank Tank outside of Golden Hero Cars up for auction here, but if proper Hero Cars are your thing, the auction also has a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.
