Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country’s largest automobile exporter since inception, and one of the most active CSR champions in the country, has announced the sixth edition of its Be The Better Guy Initiative. Be The Better Guy, Hyundai’s unique public initiative to promote road safety has achieved great success in creating road safety awareness among various demographics.
The sixth edition of Be The Better Guy is defined by the theme – ‘Buckle Up, Young India’. The initiative aims to create an emotional connection with the 400 MN+ Gen Z and millennial road users. The aim of the road safety initiative is to create a positive behavioral change in mindset and encourage road users to make a ‘change of change’.
#BeTheBetterGuy draws attention to key road safety issues by focusing on key messaging, including:
- Always wear a seat belt when sitting in your car, even if you are a rear passenger.
- Follow all traffic rules and don’t speed, even when no one is looking!
- Be a responsible road user and do not drive under the influence.
- Do not use mobile phone while driving. Eyes, always on the road.
- Let pedestrians cross first. Make Indian roads safe for all.
- Give way to emergency service vehicles. Clear the path of life.
Also, the theme of #BeTheBetterGuy for this year ‘Buckle Up Young India’ brings renewed focus on the proper use of safety features in modern automobiles, not only to protect you but also your loved ones. .
Launched across the country, #BeTheBetterGuy is a comprehensive road safety campaign designed to create two-way communication using a variety of digital platforms for maximum impact with the aim of engaging youth emotionally. And to share impactful messaging thus creating a ‘chain of change’. .
