Mahindra has launched its first electric C-segment SUV XUV400 at an introductory price of ₹15.99 ex-showroom. Introductory pricing will be limited to the first 5,000 bookings starting on January 26, 2023.
Variables and pricing
Tata Nexon has been dominating the electric SUV segment since its launch. It was unrivaled due to the lack of products from other OEMs. Mahindra unveiled the XUV400 last year and has finally launched the eSUV. It will be available in two variants EC and EL. The EC base variant will also have two charger options. A 3.3kW charger will be provided as standard and a 7.2kW charger can be had at an additional cost of ₹50,000. The top-of-the-line EL variant will come standard with a 7.2kW charger.

Booking and availability
The XUV400 can be booked from the upcoming Republic Day. Some dealerships already have the car on display and have started offering test drives. Mahindra says it will start deliveries of the EL variant in March and the EC variant will be delivered in time for the Diwali festival. The bookings will be opened in a phased manner and in the first phase bookings will be opened in 34 cities.
Color and warranty
The Mahindra XUV400 will be available in five color options, namely Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue with a dual-tone option of Satin Copper. All colors will have “Electrifying Copper” accents. It will also come with a standard warranty of 3 years / unlimited kms and will also come with a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 kms (whichever is earlier) for the battery and motor.
