Another Italian brand with Chinese ownership is being introduced in India by Audeshwar Auto Ride India Pvt Ltd (AARIPL), this time Moto Bologna Passione (MBP).
Benelli and Cavy motorcycles in India will also be available with future MBP models. MBP debuted its M502N naked motorbike and C1002V at the current Auto Expo. In Bologna, Italy—home of Ducati—the Moto Bologna Passione was established in 2022.
However, this Chinese-owned business, like its siblings Keeway and Benelli, is Italian-styled and even comes in the gorgeous Ducati Red color. Although the company is headquartered in Bologna, the design studio is located in Barcelona, and the products are made in China.
C1002V
The C1002V, which made its world debut at EICMA in November, has a power cruiser design style that rivals the Harley-Davidson Nightster and will also appeal to fans of the Ducati Diavel. Big tires on both ends of the bike, a comfortable riding triangle, and a sleek, blacked-out bodywork.
A 997cc V-Twin with 80 degree cylinders and an output of 94 horsepower and 102 Nm is at the centre. These numbers put it on par with the competition, but its feature package makes it stand out. The MBP C1002V is equipped with a cruise control system and switchable engine maps. There is also a 5-inch TFT display that can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
M502N
Internationally speaking, the Italian bike maker’s M502N naked motorbike has a 500cc twin-cylinder engine producing 47bhp. KYB suspension and Pirelli Angel GT tires are high-end components. Additionally, it sports a 4.2-inch TFT display and full LED lighting.
On the second day of the 2023 Auto Expo, MBP showed off both the C1002V and M502N models, however it is not known when they will go on sale. Adishwar Auto Ride, which also owns Zontes, Moto Morini, QJ Motor, Keeway, and Benelli, is bringing a few more motorcycles under the Motovault brand.
From 125cc scooters and motorcycles to maxi scooters and even large displacement ADVs, cruisers, and a barebones, MBP offers a wide selection of products.
All MBP motorcycles feature IOT technology with cellular connectivity and GPS location system. Also included are MCUs (Motorcycle Connectivity Units) with special connections to MBP motorcycles.
The business also created “MBP Connect,” a proprietary app that gives users access to new security features including a panic button, remote shutdown, and a system that detects motion and vibration. Other elements of the app, including group rides, MBP support chat, and comprehensive moto metrics, are enjoyed by a select community. Since the bikes have their own Internet connection service, the app automatically updates all routes without the need for a Bluetooth connection.
