Since 1982, TVS Racing has prioritized talent development. The women’s division of the Petronas TVS One Make Championship will be held for the seventh time. TVS Racing has trained more than 500 women riders in the country since 2016. They are now preparing to conduct its training and selection rounds for the 2023 batch. Based on his basic principle that “the checked flag doesn’t make a difference.”
In addition, the rookie category, which focuses on developing young talent, is back for the third time since 2021 after training more than 50 rookie riders across the country. Young racers and aspiring riders will be provided with the best platform during the training session. This will ignite their enthusiasm for motorcycle racing.
On January 28, 2023, Bangalore will host the first phase of the election process. On 4 February 2023, Pune will host the second phase of the electoral process. The national champion from the Petronas TVS Racing stable will lead the full-day training session for both rounds. The training plan will help participants familiarize themselves with racing bikes and the track.
The top 20 competitors from each location will be selected to compete in the final round at MMRT Chennai.
The rookie category will ride the TVS Apache RR 200. Women racers will get a chance to ride the race-specific TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The racers will receive special training from TVS Racing’s national champion riders after the final selection round in Chennai.
Training will help selected racers. It will help the team focus on increasing their ability and physical fitness levels ahead of the 2023 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC). - Women’s Category: A valid two-wheeler driving license or Level-1 FMSCI certified training from any racing training school is required.
- Rookie Category: Participants must be between 11 and 18 years of age with Level-1 FMSCI certified training from any racing training school, and must be accompanied by a guardian.
