Swedish automaker, Polestar has revealed the company’s first SUV and its first car to be produced on two continents, the Polestar 3, on October 12, 2022. The Polestar 3 defines an electric performance SUV in which Scandinavian minimalism and purity work together. The Polestar 3 introduces a new aerodynamic profile that maintains SUV standards with a front aero wing integrated into the bonnet, an aero wing integrated into the rear spoiler, and a rear aero wing. The Polestar 3 is the first Polestar car to feature centralized computing with the NVIDIA DRIVE core computer, running software from Volvo Cars acting as the AI brain. The car’s cabin features an infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Technologies’ next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit platform that delivers high-definition displays, premium quality surround sound, and high-performance capabilities to seamlessly deliver immersive in-vehicle experiences. All variants of the SUV get air suspension, a full-length panoramic glass roof, all-LED lighting inside and out, retractable door handles with a sense of intimacy, and 21-inch alloy wheels. The Polestar 3 will be available to order from the second quarter of 2023 with an optional Pilot Pack with LiDAR from Luminar.
