i-Mobilothon 2022
An interesting mix of transformative ideas emerged at ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab India’s ‘i-Mobilothon 2022’, with Dave.ai and Xane.ai winning the hackathon with a breakthrough idea on the metaverse and artificial intelligence. The second edition of the i-Mobilothon, which concluded today, saw more than 50 startups take up the challenge and develop some amazing workable ideas. This year, the i-mobilothon received over 200 registrations from startups and students to internal employees entering various categories. But, how does this help the automotive industry, other than some good promotion and marketing? The concepts and discoveries to be made at the i-Mobliothon have the potential to help the automotive industry by more effectively addressing the mobility needs of consumers.
Challenges
Therefore, the Hackathon events were organized under four banners: The Internet of Things (IoT), Mobility Solutions in the Metaverse, Transforming Mobility Solutions with Artificial Intelligence, and Overall Sustainability. The second race saw many interesting solutions tackling problems in the Metaverse, artificial intelligence, and IoT. The thirteen-week long hackathon went live on September 12, 2022, followed by mentoring sessions and a final jury session on November 22, 2022. The hackathon was conducted in hybrid mode in two stages – opening and final proof-of-concept presentations.
Students, startups, and Volkswagen Group employees participated in teams at the i.Mobilothon hackathon. The competition offered an inclusive, agile and multi-disciplinary launch pad for India’s creative minds and code developers to harness their talents in building prototypes that have real business impact at scale. The hackathon was open to startups across India, university students as well as employees of Volkswagen Group companies in India. Contestants developed and designed prototypes that promote future car connectivity and enhance customer experience, business digitization, and presales and postsales solutions powered by artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and data analytics. are
