Bookings for Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s first electric scooter, have been accepted in Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur. By paying a nominal fee of Rs 2,499, users can reserve their Vida. This will be deducted from the final price at the time of purchase or fully refundable. Hero plans to provide Vida at over 200 locations across the country by 2022.
Hero recently inaugurated Bengaluru’s first Vida Experience Center. Vida Experience Centers in Delhi and Jaipur will open for business in the coming weeks. V1 Plus and V1 Pro are two variants of Hero Vida. There is a big difference in the battery capacity and range installed between the two. The V1 Plus has a battery capacity of 3.44 kWh, while the V1 Pro has 3.94 kWh. The dual battery packs for each scooter are 1.72 kWh and 1.97 kWh respectively. The V1 Plus has a range of 143 km, and the V1 Pro has a range of 165 km. The Pro model accelerates more quickly, taking just 3.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h. In 3.4 seconds, the Plus variant does it.
Performance figures for both variants of the Vida are 6 kW of maximum power and 25 Nm of maximum torque. The gradient is 20 degrees, and the top speed is 80 km/h. The riding modes for both variants are Eco, Ride and Sport. Another custom riding mode has been added to the Pro model with over 100 combinations. In terms of weight, the Pro variant is 1 kg heavier than the Plus variant at 125 kg.
Charging times for the Plus and Vida Pro variants in a home setting are 5 hours 15 minutes and 5 hours 55 minutes, respectively. With the fast charger, the V1 Plus and V1 Pro can be fully charged in about 2 hours 2 hours and 20 minutes.
