At the start of the new year, Volkswagen Australia has implemented pricing changes for its T-Cross to Touareg.
The biggest addition hits the Tiguan medium SUV, which produces 235kW of power in its hottest R Performance guise. That goes up to $1500. $68,990 to $70,490 before on-road costs.
The rebate is up to a maximum of $200. For Tiguan Life and Elegance trims. However, Volkswagen has removed blind spot monitoring (side assist) and rear cross traffic alert from these variants, which cost around $550-1300 depending on the model.

There have also been various other price changes, with small discounts for the Polo ($50) and T-Roc ($150) style trims that lack the same features as the Tiguan.
From its market launch in December 2021, VW’s popular Tiguan 162TSI R-Line A total of $4000 has been climbed. – or seven percent – from $53,790 to $57,790 before on-road costs.
The latest round of price hikes is the fourth to hit Volkswagen in 18 months, following range-wide bumps in October 2021, December 2021, and June 2022.

For vehicles that have had a price increase, Volkswagen has not included any additional content for the MY23 price updates.
The limited-edition Monochrome, Adventure and R Grid variants of the Tiguan, Tiguan Allspace and T-Roc SUVs are the only vehicles to survive the price hike, barring the now-run-out Amarok ute.
